Answering Questions with the Basics Series.
The Basics Series at Converge Church answers three questions:
- What is the Gospel?
- What is the Church's Identity?
- How do we live life with Gospel-Intentionality?
We want to make sure we get the church off on the right foot, so we thought it super important to start with the Basics.
We start with the Gospel because its the message and ministry of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ that is the A-Z (not merely the A-B-C's) for every disciple of Jesus.
Next, DISCIPLES of Jesus (the Church) are given a new identity in relation to our baptism into the name of the Father (we are his children & a FAMILY together), the Son (we are his SERVANTS), and the Holy Spirit (we are his GOSPEL-BRINGERS).
Finally, this new identity causes us to Worship God with the whole of our lives, living everyday Rhythms of life with Gospel-Intentionality: Story-Formed, Listen, Celebrate, Bless, Eat, ReCreate.
